Becoming Naomi Leon
I have just started reading Becoming Naomi Leon. When I saw that it was written by the same author as, "Esperanza Rising", I was immediately very excited. I loved Esperanza Rising and I think that Pam Munoz Ryan has a great way of describing her characters and making you feel as though you were taking part in the action. I haven't gotten very far in my reading yet, but I am very curious to see the relationship that builds between Naomi and Skyla. I would really like to believed that Skyla has changed and will become a great mother to Owen and Naomi, but I can't fully trust her. I am curious to see what will happens as the plot progresses!

ReplyDeleteI have just started reading the book as well and am very excited to see where this plot is going. I remember that in my 348 class, for Esperanza Rising, I had to do the paper on relating other books by this author to the text itself. I loved learning more about Pam Munoz Ryan and reading a few of her picture books. I think she is a wonderful children's writer and I am very eager to finish this book!
